# -------------------------------------------- # CITATION file created with {cffr} R package # See also: https://docs.ropensci.org/cffr/ # -------------------------------------------- cff-version: 1.2.0 message: 'To cite package "psidR" in publications use:' type: software license: GPL-3.0-only title: 'psidR: Build Panel Data Sets from PSID Raw Data' version: '2.2' identifiers: - type: doi value: 10.32614/CRAN.package.psidR abstract: Makes it easy to build panel data in wide format from Panel Survey of Income Dynamics ('PSID') delivered raw data. Downloads data directly from the PSID server using the 'SAScii' package. 'psidR' takes care of merging data from each wave onto a cross-period index file, so that individuals can be followed over time. The user must specify which years they are interested in, and the 'PSID' variable names (e.g. ER21003) for each year (they differ in each year). The package offers helper functions to retrieve variable names from different waves. There are different panel data designs and sample subsetting criteria implemented ("SRC", "SEO", "immigrant" and "latino" samples). authors: - family-names: Oswald given-names: Florian email: florian.oswald@gmail.com preferred-citation: type: manual title: 'psidR: Build Panel Data Sets from PSID Raw Data' authors: - family-names: Oswald given-names: Florian email: florian.oswald@gmail.com year: '2024' notes: R package version 2.2 url: https://github.com/floswald/psidR repository: https://cranhaven.r-universe.dev repository-code: https://github.com/floswald/psidR commit: 6c810556348aec1a1e6cd32e385ab6a78b0f2bc1 url: https://github.com/floswald/psidR date-released: '2024-05-29' contact: - family-names: Oswald given-names: Florian email: florian.oswald@gmail.com
