'SlaPMEG' is a two-step procedure. First, a shared latent process mixed model is fitted over the longitudinal measures of omics in a pathway. This shared model allows deviation from the shared process at subject level (a random intercept, slope, or both per subject) and also at omic level (a random effect per omic). These random effects summarize the longitudinal trend of the observations which can be used to test for group differences using 'Globaltest' in the second step. If the pathway is large or the shared effect is small, the package fits a series of pairwise models and estimates the shared random effects based on them. authors: - family-names: Ebrahimpoor given-names: Mitra email: mitra.ebrahimpoor@gmail.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2299-876X preferred-citation: type: manual title: Pathway testing for longitudinal metabolomics authors: - family-names: Ebrahimpoor given-names: Mitra email: mitra.ebrahimpoor@gmail.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2299-876X - family-names: Spitali given-names: Pietro - family-names: Goeman given-names: Jelle - family-names: Tsonaka given-names: Roula journal: Statistics in Medicine year: '2021' url: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/sim.8957 repository: https://cranhaven.r-universe.dev commit: 5070e21f012c9a10a950531bbcb9f6efc6aed143 date-released: '2024-10-23' contact: - family-names: Ebrahimpoor given-names: Mitra email: mitra.ebrahimpoor@gmail.com orcid: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2299-876X
